Product Description


Lencolo 5006D is a high-efficiency, non-yellowing liquid UV photoinitiator (liquid type 184) used to initiate photopolymerization of unsaturated prepolymer systems. It acts as an effective non-yellowing photoinitiator for UV-curable coatings and inks. It can be used in acrylic UV-curable clear coatings on paper, metal and plastic substrates, and is particularly recommended for 100% solids UV systems.

Performance

Performance
Liquid form, convenient for addition. Highly suitable for various 100% solids UV systems and a wide range of UV ink systems - especially those UV formulations where photoinitiator addition would otherwise make fine-mesh screen filtration difficult.
Significantly enhances the yellowing resistance and aging resistance of various UV resins.
Features fast UV curing rate and low odor after cure.
Due to its broad UV absorption spectrum, it is suitable for the full cure of white coatings containing titanium dioxide, delivering excellent surface cure.

Application

Application

Mainly used in white system, it can be used in ultraviolet curing coatings, printing inks, ultraviolet curing adhesives, optical fiber coatings and so on. It features low yellowing tendency and it is more suitable for varnishes, especially for coating systems with low odor requirements.
 

Usage

It can be used alone or in combination with other photoinitiators, which can adjust the balance between surface curing and deep curing. 
Recommended addition: 2~4%.
It is recommended that users determine the optimal dosage through preliminary testing before use.
